Get To Know Us

Hi! I'm Stephanie.

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. In my experience, the recipe for healing is not one size fits all, and my own healing has certainly not been linear! It is my mission to create and hold space for those facing physical and emotional battles and help them along their healing journeys.

My path into the health field started during my 1st year at UCF with the death of my best friend. Her death was the catalyst that sent me down this path of studying the mind-body connection, and for the 5 years that followed her loss, I would experience a number of other deep personal losses that left me feeling burned out and hollow. During that long season, I began to experience how intensely physical and debilitating, grief, anxiety and depression could be. I sought healing in travel, music and yoga (Not quite Eat, Pray, Love-but close!) but it wasn't until my first massage for a shoulder injury that it all clicked for me! My body had been storing and holding onto all these years of trauma and it was causing physical symptoms like pain and tension.

I knew right then that I needed to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and eventually a Certified Hypnotherapist. In my career I've grown to love and excel with the more slow and gentle modalities like Grief Massage and Craniosacral Therapy, and I incorporate a lot of that into most massages.

I'm honored to meet you and I look forward to helping you step back from the brink of exhaustion and burnout. Whether you've suffered a painful loss, are going through a major life change, or are feeling overwhelmed by symptoms of anxiety and depression, I'm proud to offer a safe and nurturing space to support you.

Hi! I'm Justin.

I'm excited to meet you! I am honored to support my clients through the wide variety of challenges life throws at you. I'm here to help whether you've been hurt in an injury, have unexplained pain, or are just feeling run down and out of gas.

I grew up playing sports, and like many athletes, I grew up believing we were supposed to just suck it up and persevere when life got hard. I carried around a lot of emotional baggage that I believe was undiagnosed depression. My physical health was rough, and my self-image was in the dumps. Yoga was the first thing that taught me how my emotional state often showed up in my body as the same specific aches and pain. Injuries that had long been healed would suddenly "flare up." Massage took my awareness of that mind-body connection to another level. I've since learned to help my clients take care of their nervous system first, and understand how that all ties in to their physical pain and tension. My sessions are a unique mix of gentler techniques like Craniosacral Therapy, with techniques like deep tissue and trigger point therapy. I like to think of it as a blend of yin and yang!

I love supporting my clients through whatever challenges life is putting in their path. Each person's story is different, and I love that regardless of what has come before for them, the work I do helps them be more resilient in all aspects of their life.

I carried around a lot of emotional baggage that I believe was undiagnosed depression. My physical health was rough, and my self-image was in the dumps. Yoga was the first thing that taught me how my emotional state often showed up in my body as the same specific aches and pain. Injuries that had long been healed would suddenly "flare up." My sessions tend to be both deeply relaxing and deeply thereapeutic!

In addition to my massage therapy practice, I also enjoy exploring with my best-friend and our pups! Sometimes that's hiking or playing on our paddle boards, sometimes it's traveling, other times its venturing out to some obscure bar or restaurant we heard about somewhere for delicious nom-noms. I love to noodle around on my guitar while enjoying a cold beer or glass of wine. Live concerts, festivals and shows with Stephanie are my happy place. I have what I call "Old Man Game" on the basketball court, and I find putting up a couple hundred jump-shots deeply meditative!

WHY US?

Trauma Informed

We understand that trauma comes in many forms and many degrees of severity, and we understand the complexity of its effects on both the physical and emotional components of touch. We can work with you at whatever level you are comfortable, clothed, or unclothed.

Inclusive Care

We have personally experienced the harmful effects of negative body image, and the fear of embarrassment that can accompany it. So we believe that all bodies deserve the same care and respect. No matter your physical ability, size, gender, gender-identity, sexual orientation, race, or appearance you are welcome here.

Communication

We’re here to ensure your comfort from start to finish, so we not only value your feedback, we celebrate it! We encourage you to speak up about any aspect of the massage: music, lighting, pressure, literally anything - you're the expert at what you like, and we pride ourselves on being adaptable.

Consent and Autonomy

We believe the key to a successful therapeutic relationship is open communication. We'll go over the treatment plan in detail to get your consent before you get on the table, and of course, you can alter or rescind it at any time because you decide what areas we treat and what areas we don't.

Paying It Forward

A portion of each massage in will be donated to local Central Florida non-profits! You can see who our latest beneficiary is by checking right here:

The Winter Park Park Massage and Wellness experience...

For years, Winter Park Massage and Wellness has been my go-to center to refer my patients to. Putting this in perspective, I am a physician working with complex patients including brain injury and neurological conditions beyond the typical sports injury and car accidents. I cultivate a high level of trust with my patients, and I would never risk breaking that trust by referring them to someone that I was not 100% sure would provide top quality care. Stephanie and Justin have taken care of me, my significant others, friends, patients, and even employees. I cannot say enough about how professional, caring, talented, and effective this team is. Hands down best massage therapy in Winter Park and likely all of Central Florida. They have handled so many difference conditions for me that I send everyone their way. Don't hesitate to contact them for information or care.
